The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
